The facilities are open to use AT YOUR OWN RISK, and users are responsible for wiping down surfaces, social distancing within the facility as publicly recommended or required, and using personal protective equipment (gloves, masks, etc.) in accordance with CDC requirements. Individuals entering the facility are specifically warned that CWSRC cannot guarantee the premises are sanitized to the degree that would prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Please DO NOT ENTER the Facilities IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS A COUGH, FEVER, OR OTHER SYMPTOM OF ILLNESS OR HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 WITHIN THE LAST 14 DAYS.
NO GUESTS-Only those who live in your home on a full-time basis are part of your membership.
No POOL TOYS- this includes water guns, balls, diving toys, floats (baby floats are ok) etc. We are following the CDC recommendations and we have had complaints of guests feeling uncomfortable when the toys have touched or bumping them or their children accidently. Unfortunately, we are all making sacrifices during these times and need to adhere to all rules and guidelines for the safety of all members using the facilities.
NO GLASS: No glass is allowed on the pool deck at any time. This includes wine bottles, beer bottles, glass water bottles, baby food jars, tempered glass snorkeling masks (swim masks of any kind are currently prohibited. Only plastic goggles are allowed), etc.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Splash Pool/Baby Pool Update
Last fall, we announced that the baby pool will be removed, and that area will be transformed into a new 700 square foot Splash Pool, complete with a zero entry and water features. To date, we have not received a building permit from the County to allow the construction to begin, despite submitting the plans and building permit application last fall. The state and county stay-at-home orders, in effect since March 26, and other restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, have also recently contributed to the delay. Construction of the Splash Pool is planned for the 2020-2021 off season.
To Our Valued Members
We are happy to announce NC Governor Cooper signed an order to move into Phase 2 at 5pm on May 22. Phase 2 allows Public Swimming Pools to open at 50% capacity with restrictions. While closely monitoring the guidelines of the state and local communication regarding the health and safety protocol, the Board of Directors are planning to open the pool Saturday, May 30th, implementing the safety protocols listed below.
Effective immediately, and until further notice we will have a mandatory check in process as follows:
All members and staff will be required to sanitize their hands before entering the pool deck. A hand sanitizer station will be positioned near the check in stand for everyone’s access.
There will be a reduced number of tables and lounge chairs, creating physical distancing across the deck until otherwise notified by the NCDHHS whom we are governed by. Please DO NOT move any furniture as they are spaced 6ft apart.
There will be a short time in between reservations to clear the pool deck, sanitize furniture, touch points, and bathrooms so we will need everyone to exit promptly through the BACK GATE by the blue dumpster when your reserved time ends to prepare for the next group to enter.
Please remember to respect physical distancing guidelines and provide ample space between you and other members so that everyone feels safe and comfortable. We may all have different comfort levels so please be respectful of others.
Please have a conversation with your children explaining the importance of physical distancing.
Guests: NO GUESTS WILL BE PERMITTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Please be advised, only Club Members are currently allowed at this time
No Floats (except Infant devices) No Pool Toys, noodles, balls, etc. will be permitted until further notice
All Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult
No Grilling and/or No Pool Parties will be permitted until Further Notice
Please note: In order for the pool to remain in operation, the above steps will be strictly enforced. Every member will be required to follow these safe, quick and simple safety procedures in order to enter the pool. Failure to adhere to these policies will result in denial of entry.
We appreciate your understanding and willingness to help us by exceeding safety protocols essentially keeping everyone safe! The safety of our members, their families and our staff are the number one priority. We know these procedures are inconvenient, but we also know they are necessary to help us get through the coming weeks without unnecessarily exposing Members and staff to any health risks.
In this continually changing environment, we feel very extremely grateful that we are able to open the pool, although in this limited capacity, and we hope that everyone remains safe and healthy.
